The Pickle Lake Medical Clinic is a modern facility which boasts an emergency treatment room and regular daily patient services.  Our clinic staff consist of a resident Doctor and a receptionist.   

The Clinic is open Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 Noon and 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.  It is suggested that an appointment be made in advance.  Our health professionals are in regular contact with doctors in Thunder Bay, Sioux Lookout and Winnipeg.  However, if complications arise and conditions warrant hospitalization, the patient may be medi-evaced to a larger centre.  

Since 1999 the Administration of the Clinic is provided by the Municipal Office who strives to ensure that there is adequate medical personnel and equipment at all times. The Ministry of Health provides the major portion of the finances for the operation of our Clinic.  For many years our clinic had Locum Doctors who came in periodically, however, for the most part our Registered Nurses supplied the medical services.  Currently we use locum coverage while our regular doctor in on vacation also.  

The Township of Pickle Lake has been successful in signing a Community Sponsored Contract (CSC) with various doctors in the  past several years.  As a result, we have been fortunate to have continuous doctor coverage.  We are very grateful to the doctors who have chosen to set up practice in our community!
