Hello from Mayor Mike Shewan,

Pickle Lake is six hours from Thunder Bay, eight hours from Winnipeg, four hours from Ignace and hours & hours & hours from everwhere else. Our population varies at different times of the year, summer with the MNR fire crews, winter with our travellers from further north of Pickle Lake. People are always coming and going - but something always brings them back. Pickle Lake has alot to offer our visitors, such as camping, hunting, fishing, hiking, white water canoeing, swimming, snowmobiling, dog sledding, but best of all, just being yourself. Wildlife is abundant with moose, caribou, fox, wolf, lynx, bobcat, bears, eagles, partridge, rabbit and maybe the odd ape looking creature! Fishing and shore lunches are our specialty, come try our lakes. Beaches are sandy. Pickle Lake has no smog - just pure clean air. Our sky is blue, sunsets are out of this world beautiful and the northern lights dance over our heads at night. Lots of affordable housing for rent or to own. Many business opportunities await you.
